German adventure motorcycle accessory company, Touratech, has secured a new owner that will see it head into 2018 at full steam.

Touratech filed for insolvency in August this year after an increased demand in sales saw them unable to fulfil many orders – attributed mostly to the late completion of their new factory and showroom.

The new owner, interior design and accessory manufacturer Happich, are to take over on January 1, 2018.

Significantly, there will be no job losses, and the company will continue to operate in its current location at Niedereschach, Germany.

“We have found the ideal partner,” insolvency administrator, Dr. Dirk Pehl, said.

“The Touratech employees, who have done an excellent job over the past few weeks, can look into the future with confidence. I want to thank the customers for their incredible loyalty.

“Happich will continue the previous business model of Touratech, complimenting our previous product portfolio perfectly,” he said.

Touratech Australia has been unaffected by the insolvency process.
