In a spectacular display of dominance and determination, Billy Bolt has secured his fifth consecutive FIM SuperEnduro World Championship title, firmly establishing himself as one of the sport’s greatest athletes. The Husqvarna Factory Racing rider delivered an unforgettable performance in front of his home crowd at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, sealing the 2025 championship with one round still remaining.
Bolt started the night by topping the timed practice session, showing a clear gap of over two seconds to his nearest rival. Despite a couple of minor mistakes in the SuperPole, he still took the win by 1.5 seconds, securing the first gate pick for the night’s races.
In Race 1, Bolt made a strong start and maintained the lead throughout, even lapping up to fifth place in a commanding performance. The second race, with a reversed grid, saw him demonstrate his skill and tactical intelligence, moving quickly through the field. He took advantage of a mistake by Jonny Walker and claimed the lead by lap four, holding it until the finish.
The third and final race was the most intense of the night, with four riders battling for the win. Under pressure, Bolt remained composed and took control in the closing stages, claiming his third win of the night and with it, the championship title.
With 366 points, Bolt now holds an unassailable lead of 100 points over closest rival Jonny Walker. The final round in France on March 8 will now serve as a victory lap for the British star.
Reflecting on the night, Bolt said: “It was an incredible night here in Newcastle. Coming into the round with a good lead meant I could manage things, but in SuperEnduro, you can’t take anything for granted. Everyone rode hard, especially in that last race. I gave it my all and managed to win all three races. The crowd was amazing, and I want to thank everyone who’s supported me this season. Five titles in a row is special. There’s still one more round, and I’m aiming to finish it strong in France.”
Billy Bolt’s continued reign over the SuperEnduro world is a testament to his unmatched talent, relentless work ethic, and unshakable focus — a true champion on and off the track.
