To celebrate the completion of a nine-month stint building new premises for Queensland’s Dalby Moto, dealer principal Craig Hartley jumped on board with some mates and tackled a 13-day ride to the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Author Craig Hartley took the new KTM 1290 for a run through some tough territory.
I arrived home at 9.30pm Saturday from a final 15-hour day, went to the shed to do the bike, and the red-dust haze settled over the eyes as I snapped the lid off a beer.
At 1.30am, after just sitting and thinking of what we’d achieved, and looking at and half planning what prep I had to do, I finally went to bed.
