Husqvarna’s MX2 Domination: Everts and de Wolf Take Over Castilla La Mancha

At the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha, Husqvarna’s MX2 team delivered a stunning 1-2 finish despite extreme weather and track conditions. Liam Everts claimed the top step of the podium, while his teammate Kay de Wolf retained the red plate as championship leader. The muddy and rain-drenched track at Cózar Motor Ranch in Spain became a true test of skill, determination, and endurance—one that the Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing team aced.

In the first moto, de Wolf made a strong start and was running third before a crash on lap ten set him back. Still, he recovered quickly to finish third, while Everts came in second. In the second moto, Everts snatched the holeshot and dominated the race from start to finish, crossing the line 40 seconds ahead of de Wolf, who again finished second. This marked Everts’ sixth career victory and his 14th MX2 podium appearance.

With this performance, de Wolf now leads the MX2 Championship with 97 points, while Everts is close behind with 91. Husqvarna also solidified its lead in the Manufacturers’ standings. With momentum on their side, the team is now set to carry their success into the next round in France.
