The KLR’s the best because:

* Simple

* Reliable

* Comfortable

* Big tank from standard

* Liquid-cooled, so it’s heaps better

* Zillions of aftermarket bling parts available

* Inexpensive to buy

* Inexpensive to own

* It’s a Kawasaki

* There’s all those stories about KLRs lasting hundreds of thousands of kilometres

* KLRs have a doohickey!

* They’re more comfortable. You can pile HEAPS of luggage on a KLR!

The DR’s the best because:

* Simple

* Reliable

* Comfortable

* Skinnier and lighter than the KLR

* Air-cooled, so it’s heaps better

* Zillions of aftermarket bling parts available

* Inexpensive to buy

* Inexpensive to own

* It’s a Suzuki

* Phil Hodgens does all that stuff on a DR

* They’re just tougher, okay? They’re more serious than KLRs. Everyone knows that

* DRs used to compete in The Safari

Got proof – or at least more reasons – why one is better than the other? We’d love to hear them. Post your comments or email tom@maynemedia.com.au.
