Adventure riders and enthusiasts are in for a real treat this weekend, March 17 and 18, when the annual Touratech Travel Event takes place in Myrtleford.

Now in its third year, the Travel Event, Adventure Challenge And Expo has moved from Bright to Myrtleford for 2018, and promises to be the biggest motorcycle show outside the capital cities.

The event is the only one outside the major metropolitan centres where motorcycle manufacturers and suppliers gather to present their products in the one location.

Perhaps the event’s biggest drawing card is the chance for the public to test ride brand new motorcycles.

Many of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers – including Honda, Ducati, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha – will be in attendance, with a large range of their road, dirt and adventure motorcycles available for test rides*.

Saturday’s program includes the third-annual Touratech Adventure Challenge, a skills-based unique skills-based challenge for riders – both on and off the bike – as well as including some team components that form part of the judging process.

The Adventure Challenge is open to riders of all abilities, starting with qualifying on Saturday morning, followed by the event finals held on Saturday afternoon.

The Challenge is designed with spectators in mind and will offer great viewing from the event base, and at specified spectator locations close by.

For those keen to get on the bike and explore the fantastic roads the region has to offer, Sunday’s Adventure Ride is a great opportunity to join like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts in one of the best riding locations Australia has to offer.

Organised by Carboor-based local company, Touratech Australia, the event will be centred at the picturesque Myrtleford Showgrounds, where an ‘Adventure Village’ will be created under the shady elm trees, and with full camping facilities available.
