Very few will face the starter and race Dakar and even fewer will complete the race. Dale Margetts did the next best thing. He hired a bike and followed the event as a spectator.
I booked a tour just after the 2013 Dakar. I watched Dakar 2014 and couldn’t wait for my chance to see Dakar 2015 and follow it on a bike. My wife and boys were glad to see me go as I drive them mad at Dakar time.
