Appreciating the history of the area.

At face value, places visited or travelled through can be taken for granted. Sometimes it’s not until after I return from a ride and research places visited that I appreciate the history of the area. Then I stare at the computer screen and think, “Bugger. I should’ve spent more time looking around.” The good thing is, it gives a good reason to return.
