Pierer Industrie AG, the company that owns KTM, Husqvarna, WP Suspension, and others has invested in Nuviz, a company that makes Head-Up Displays (HUDs).

Sources suggest KTM’s investment in the San Diego-based technology startup is estimated to be in the region of $5 million.

Malte Laass, the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Nuviz says, “This strategic investment is very exciting for NUVIZ as it is a testament to our technology leadership in the HUD and connected riding space, and further emphasizes the demand and need for the user experiences we have set out to create.”

This particular move of investing in Nuviz could be an advantage for KTM and Husqvarna because it gives both motorcycle companies a shot at motorcycle HUDs and connected motorcycle system, well before competition.
