Yamaha Introduces Groundbreaking Auto Shift Technology for Sport Riding

Yamaha has unveiled its latest innovation, the Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT), which revolutionizes sports riding by enhancing the rider-machine connection. This advanced transmission offers a choice between manual shifting using a finger-operated “see-saw” lever or a fully automatic mode, providing smooth and precise gear changes.

The Y-AMT system allows riders to focus more on throttle, braking, and body positioning while riding, without the need to use their feet for shifting. Two automatic modes—D+ for a sportier experience and D for relaxed cruising—make the system versatile for both adventurous and urban rides.

With a lightweight design and seamless integration with Yamaha’s ride-by-wire system, Y-AMT represents a major step forward for the next generation of motorcyclists.
