The Ducati Multistrada V4 S has received a new update that takes further advantage of the bike’s electronic suspension.

The new feature is called ‘Easy Lift’ and was already introduced on the latest variant of the Ducati Multistrada V4, the Multistrada V4 Rally, which launched earlier this year.

Effectively, the new feature exploits the Multistrada V4’s electronic suspension to open the suspension valves for three minutes after the ignition is turned on. This works to soften both the front forks and the rear shock, which makes it easier to lift the bike from the stand. Such an update increases the accessibility of the Ducati Multistrada V4 S, improving its access for those of a shorter stature as it means the seat height can be set at two different levels: the standard level, and a lower one enabled by the Easy Lift function.

The system comes in addition to the ‘Minimum Preload’ feature that was added to the Multistrada V4 at the end of February 2022. This feature allowed the ride height to be reduced by resetting the preload in the rear shock. This increases safety when maneuvering at low speed.

Available as a standard feature on newly-purchased Multistrada V4 S’s, the new Easy Lift function is also available as a free update for existing Multistrada V4 S owners, who will be contacted via the MyDucati app and via email notifying them of their eligibility to have the new function installed at their nearest dealer, which can be located on the Ducati website.
